Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
Citizenship
- Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines
Senior high school graduate from the
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand or students in the higher year levels of Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science or Pharmacy Programs with a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 80% or its equivalent
For incoming students
- passed the entrance examinations and complied with other related requirements for admission into a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science or Pharmacy in the identified participating SUCs or PHEIs where the scholar intends to enroll
For continuing students
- complied with the academic requirements in the latest term/semester without any failed subjects preceding their scholarship application; and
Family Income Requirement
- Combined annual gross income of parent/s or guardian which does not exceed Four Hundred Thousand Pesos (₱400,000.00). In cases where the income exceeds ₱400,000.00, applicants must present a written certification or medical findings of illness of a family member, or school certifications of two or more dependents enrolled in college.
Requirements
To apply for the CHED MTP-SP (Medical Technologists and Pharmacists Scholarship Program), applicants must submit the required documents to prove their identity, academic qualifications, and financial status. Make sure that all documents are complete and clear before submission.
Basic Requirements
- Photocopy of Birth Certificate issued by the Local Civil Registry or the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA);
- Duly certified true copy of Form 138 for incoming first-year college students; or
- Duly certified true copy of grades for the latest term/semester attended for applicants with earned college units.
Proof of Income
Applicants must submit any one (1) of the following documents:
- Certificate of Low Income or Indigence from the Barangay;
- Certificate of Tax Exemption/Non-Filer from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR);
- Case Study Report from the City/Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office;
- Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parent/s or guardian; or
- Latest copy of contract or proof of income for children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and seafarers.
Additional Requirements (If Applicable)
Applicants must submit certifications and/or identification cards (IDs) issued by the appropriate offices or agencies if they belong to any of the following groups:
- Indigenous Peoples (IPs);
- Residents of Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs);
- Residents of areas with IP communities; or
- Other special groups recognized by CHED.
Benefits
The CHED MTP-SP (Medical Technologists and Pharmacists Scholarship Program) provides financial assistance to help scholars cover their educational and school-related expenses while completing their degree program.
