PCAFPD Scholarship 2026 Application Guide

Qualifications:

Before applying for the PCAFPD Scholarship, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements. Review the qualifications below to determine if you are eligible to apply.

Undergraduate Scholarship

  • Be a Filipino citizen.
  • Be a current Grade 12 student, Senior High School graduate not yet enrolled in college, or a first-year college student.
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance.
  • Show leadership potential and active participation in community service.
  • Demonstrate financial need, with priority given to applicants from low-income households.
  • Be committed to serving the Philippines after graduation.
  • Be admitted to their chosen college or university before the scholarship is awarded.
  • Plan to study a course that contributes to Philippine development.

Graduate (Advanced Degree) Scholarship

  • Be a Filipino citizen.
  • Be a former PCAFPD scholar.
  • Have at least one year of professional work experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent academic performance.
  • Show leadership and community service experience.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Intend to continue serving the Philippines after completing their graduate degree.
  • Pass any admission or qualifying examinations required by their chosen university.

Requirements:

To apply for the PCAFPD Scholarship, applicants must prepare and submit all the required documents to complete their scholarship application. Make sure each requirement is accurate, complete, and up to date before applying. 

Undergraduate Applicants

  • Latest report card or transcript of records
  • Three essays written in English
  • Additional short-answer responses (if applicable)
  • Income Tax Return (ITR), Certificate of Indigence, or Affidavit of Non-Filing
  • Two recommendation forms from qualified recommenders
  • Other documents requested in the online application

Note: All documents should be submitted in PDF format following the Foundation’s file requirements.

Graduate Applicants

  • College transcript of records
  • Income certification
  • Two recommendation letters
  • Advanced Degree Proposal containing:
    • Background
    • Financial plan
    • Proposed course of study
    • Budget
  • Other supporting documents required in the application

Note: Documents must also be uploaded in PDF format.

Benefits:

The PCAFPD Scholarship offers various financial and educational benefits to help scholars focus on their studies. Below are the benefits that qualified recipients can receive. 

  • Full Tuition and School Fees – Covers the full cost of tuition, miscellaneous fees, and graduation fees for the approved degree program.
  • Book and Educational Supplies Allowance – Financial assistance for purchasing books and other learning materials.
  • Living Allowance – A semester-based allowance to help cover daily expenses. Graduate students must demonstrate financial need to qualify for this benefit.
  • Educational Activity Reimbursement – Reimbursement for approved education-related expenses, subject to prior approval by the Foundation.
  • Laptop or Thesis Support
    • Undergraduate students will receive a laptop computer from the Foundation.
    • Graduate students may receive up to ₱10,000 in thesis assistance instead of a laptop. To qualify, they must submit a thesis funding proposal to the Foundation’s Vice President of Philippines Operations.

Priority Courses:

The PCAFPD Scholarship supports students pursuing degree programs that can contribute to community development and the country’s progress. While applicants from most academic disciplines are welcome, preference is given to courses with strong potential to promote national development.

The Foundation currently does not support the following programs:

  • Nursing
  • Medical Technology
  • Medicine
  • Dentistry
  • Veterinary Medicine
  • Law

Partner School:

The PCAFPD Scholarship does not limit applicants to a specific list of partner schools. 

Instead, scholars may enroll in any recognized college or university in the Philippines, provided they meet the scholarship requirements and have been accepted into their chosen institution.

Application Deadline:

The PCAFPD Scholarship accepts applications only during the official application period. To be considered for the scholarship, make sure to submit your complete application on or before the deadline.

The PCAFPD Scholarship is a non-profit organization established by Returned Peace Corps Volunteers. 

Since 1983, the Foundation has helped hundreds of Filipino students pursue higher education through scholarships.

The scholarship is awarded annually to qualified undergraduate and graduate students throughout the Philippines. 

Applicants are evaluated based on their academic performance, financial need, leadership experience, extracurricular involvement, and commitment to community service.
