Qualifications:

ODSP Category 1 — Incoming First-Year College Students

• Must be a child or sibling of an active OWWA-member OFW.
• Must be single.
• Must be 21 years old or below.
• Must have a passing General Weighted Average (GWA) from the previous school year.
• The OFW’s monthly income must not exceed US$1,000 or its equivalent.
• No other member of the OFW family should be availing of any OWWA scholarship program.

ODSP Category 2 — Students Already Enrolled in Second to Fifth Year of College

• Must be a child or sibling of an active OWWA-member OFW.
• Must be single.
• Must be 30 years old or below.
• Must have a passing General Weighted Average (GWA) from the previous school year.
• Must be enrolled in a Philippine-based college or university.

Note: These lists follow the separate category terms displayed by OWWA. For Category 2, confirm the applicable OFW income requirement and family scholarship restrictions with your OWWA Regional Welfare Office, as these are not stated in the category’s displayed qualifications.

Requirements:

Applicants under both ODSP Category 1 and Category 2 must prepare the following basic documents for the online application.

1. Proof of Identity

OFW’s Identity Document

• Copy of the OFW’s valid passport bio or information page

Dependent Applicant’s Identity Documents

• Valid school ID or another available valid ID
• Birth certificate or baptismal certificate

2. Proof of Grades

Prepare a record of your grades from the previous school year, such as:

• Form 137
• Form 10 [TOR], as listed in OWWA’s checklist
• Form 138 or report card
• Certificate of Grades issued by the school

Note: If you cannot present your current or previous semester grades, OWWA allows grades from within the last two school years to be considered as reference.

3. 2×2 ID Picture

Prepare a 2×2 ID picture of the dependent applicant with:

• A white background
• The applicant’s name tag and signature

Qualified applicants may enroll in any four-year or five-year bachelor’s degree program or any associate degree program offered by a recognized college or university in the Philippines, provided they meet the scholarship’s eligibility requirements.

Partner School:

The OWWA ODSP Scholarship does not have an official list of partner schools. 

Qualified applicants may enroll in any Philippine-based college or university that offers a four-year or five-year bachelor’s degree program or an associate degree program, provided they meet the school’s admission requirements and the scholarship’s eligibility criteria.
