Qualifications:
Before applying for the CHED HUSAY Scholarship, applicants should ensure they meet the program’s eligibility requirements. Only those who satisfy the qualifications below will be considered for the scholarship.
- Must be a Filipino citizen
- Must meet the eligibility requirements of the specific program being applied
- to.
- Must secure permit to study and/or to participate in the program issued by the Agency / Institution of Employment
- Must render return service that will apply the learnings of the program supported under HUSAY.
- Physically and mentally fit to undertake and complete the program as attested by the Agency / Institution of Employment.
- Has completed at least a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent from a CHED or MBHTE- recognized HEI.
- Must obtain clearance from an individual grant or scholarship awarded directly, or certification of no pending obligations and accountabilities (if applicable).
- Additional eligibility requirements, as needed, may be applied as approved by the Commission en Banc.
Requirements:
To complete your CHED HUSAY Scholarship application, prepare the following documentary requirements. Ensure that all documents are complete, accurate, and submitted using the prescribed templates, where applicable.
Application Documents
- Accomplished Application Form.
- Signed Grant Undertaking.
- Re-entry Action Plan endorsed by the Sending Higher Education Institution (SHEI).
- SHEI Certification and Endorsement.
- Terms of Reference (TOR), Job Description of Work Duties and Responsibilities, or its equivalent.
- Return Service Agreement.
- Signed and Notarized Promissory Note.
Supporting Documents
- Proof of Citizenship: Copy of the Birth Certificate issued by the PSA, NSO, or Local Civil Registrar.
- Academic Requirement: Copy of the diploma or its equivalent from a CHED- or MBHTE-recognized Higher Education Institution (HEI) or a recognized foreign university, as applicable.
- Medical Certificate: Certificate of physical fitness to undertake and complete the program, signed by a licensed physician (see template here).
- Certificate of Mental Fitness: Issued by the SHEI’s guidance counselor or a licensed psychiatrist or psychologist (see template here).
- Notarized Declaration of Eligibility (see template here).
Note: The documentary requirements listed above are based on the latest officially available CHED HUSAY Scholarship guidelines (2024). As of this writing, CHED has not yet released the updated requirements for the 2026 application cycle. Applicants are advised to check the official CHED announcements for any changes or additional requirements once the 2026 guidelines become available.
Benefits:
The CHED HUSAY Scholarship provides financial support to qualified participants by covering the training and program fees for both online and face-to-face modes of delivery. For participants attending the in-person training in Thailand, the scholarship also covers the following:

- Roundtrip airfare and local transportation

- Other pre-departure expenses

The CHED HUSAY Scholarship does not have a fixed list of partner schools.
Instead, the partner institution varies depending on the specific HUSAY program or training offering.
Applicants must apply to the host institution identified in the official Call for Applications.
Examples include the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) for the Food Innovation program and Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) for the iPath-Pro program.
Application Deadline:
If you are planning to apply for the CHED HUSAY Scholarship, be sure to submit your application on or before the deadline and ensure that all required documents are complete and accurate to avoid disqualification.
