About AAI Scholarship Program:

The AFS Asia and the Pacific Initiative (AAI) Scholarships are now open for application. This regional program, involving 11 countries Mongolia, China, Japan, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, India, Turkey, and Hong Kong aims to foster intercultural learning and global citizenship. Offered since 2013, the AAI scholarships help students experience diverse cultures and gain new perspectives.

AFS Philippines will prioritize students from Active Partner Schools (those with a valid Memorandum of Agreement with AFS PHI).

Eligibility:

The AAI Scholarship Program is open to Filipino high school students. To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements.

• Must be a Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines during the application, selection, and pre-travel process.
• No previous significant travel abroad.
• Must return to the Philippines after the program.
• Age between 15-17 years old at the time of application.
• Must be in the top 25% of the class academically.
• Strong social skills and open to cultural immersion, flexibility, and new experiences.
• Must share experiences with their community or school after returning.
• Must commit to volunteering with AFS after completing the program.

Priority:

The following applicants will be given priority in the selection process:

• Applicants with a valid passport.

• The deadline for submitting your application is February 19, 2025. Be sure to submit all required documents before this date!
