• Parents or guardians must commit to support the student and sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with NCIP
• Must have a favorable endorsement from the IP Traditional Leader recognized by NCIP
• Must be willing to serve their community or ancestral domain after completing their studies, if given the opportunity
• Must enroll in priority courses needed by their community in a duly accredited college or university within or near their area, if available
• Applicants for postgraduate, law, or medicine programs are evaluated on a case-to-case basis, with research focused on Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSPs) and community development
