- Must enroll in priority courses needed by their community in a duly accredited college or university within or near their area, if available
- Applicants for postgraduate, law, or medicine programs are evaluated on a case-to-case basis, with research focused on Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSPs) and community development
