LUEASP Scholarship Program 2026 Application Guide

• Must be a bona fide resident of La Union for at least six (6) months before the application.
• Must be a currently enrolled student.
• Must be of good moral character.
• Must not have a sibling (full or half) who is a current LUEASP scholar under the same scholarship category.
• Must not be a recipient of any other government-funded scholarship of equivalent value.
• Must have no failing grades, dropped courses, or INC (Incomplete) grades in the immediately preceding semester.

In addition to the general qualifications, applicants must meet the requirements for their chosen scholarship category:

• College Students
  • Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 80%.
  • Must belong to the poor or underprivileged sector.
• Senior High School Students
  • Must have a GWA of at least 85%.
  • Must have no grade below 80% in any subject.
• Indigenous Peoples (IPs)
  • Must have a GWA of at least 80%.
  • Must be a certified Indigenous Peoples (IP) member.
• Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) / Children of PWDs
  • Must have a passing GWA.
  • Must present a valid PWD ID of the applicant or parent.
• Solo Parents / Children of Solo Parents
  • Must have a passing GWA.
  • Must present a valid Solo Parent ID.
  • If the applicant is a solo parent, they must not be 40 years old or above at the time of application.
• “Ulilang Lubos” / Parentless Students
  • Must have a passing GWA.
  • Both parents must be deceased or have permanently abandoned the applicant.
  • Must not be 40 years old or above at the time of application.
• Student Athletes
  • Must have a passing GWA.
  • Must be at least a Regional Qualifier.
  • Must have an endorsement from the concerned sports authority and the La Union Sports Development Council (PYESDO).

Requirements:

Applicants for the LUEASP Scholarship Program 2026 Application Guide must submit the general documentary requirements below. Depending on the scholarship category they are applying for, additional supporting documents may also be required.

• Accomplished Scholarship Program Application Form
• Original Certificate of Enrollment (1st Semester, S.Y. 2026–2027)
• Original or Certified True Copy of Latest Grades (2nd Semester, S.Y. 2025–2026)
• Copy of Certificate of Good Moral Character issued by the Principal, Dean, Registrar, or Guidance Counselor
• Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of Parents, or a BIR Certificate of Tax Exemption or Affidavit of Non-Filing
• Original Certificate of Residency issued by the Barangay or Voter’s Registration
• One (1) recent 2×2 ID photo with name tag at the bottom
• Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate

Applicants under the following scholarship categories must also submit these additional documents:

• Indigenous Peoples (IPs)
  • Certificate of Tribal Membership, or
  • NCIP Certificate of Confirmation
• Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) / Children of PWDs
  • Photocopy of the PWD ID of the applicant or parent
• Solo Parents / Children of Solo Parents
  • Photocopy of the Solo Parent ID of the applicant or parent
• “Ulilang Lubos” / Parentless Students
  • Death Certificates of both parents, or
  • Affidavit of Abandonment/Guardianship
• Student Athletes
  • Endorsement from DepEd, CHED, PSC, POC, or NSA (Regional Qualification)
  • Endorsement from the La Union Sports Development Council and PYESDO

Partner School:

The LUEASP Scholarship Program 2026 Application Guide does not limit applicants to a single partner school. 

Qualified scholars may enroll in any recognized and accredited public or private Higher Education Institution (HEI), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), such as Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), or technical-vocational institutions in the region, provided they meet the program’s eligibility requirements and official guidelines.
