Brother President Scholarship Program (BPSP) 2026 Application Guide

The Brother President Scholarship Program (BPSP) provides partial or full tuition assistance from preschool to undergraduate education, depending on the student’s educational level. 

The scholarship is available to the qualified children of eligible De La Salle University (DLSU) faculty members and administrative personnel, helping make a Lasallian education more affordable.

Qualifications:

To qualify for the Brother President Scholarship Program (BPSP), applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• The parent (sponsor) must be a married, permanent, and full-time Teaching and Academic Service Faculty (ASF) member or Administrative and Professional Service Personnel (APSP) of De La Salle University (DLSU).
• The sponsor must have joined DLSU in May 1987 or later and have completed at least three (3) years of continuous and active service.
• Employees on approved leave with pay, sabbatical leave, or secondment to a De La Salle affiliate are still considered in active service and remain eligible.
• The applicant must be the legitimate or legally adopted child of a qualified sponsor.
• The student must pass the entrance examination and admission requirements of an approved La Salle partner school.
• The student must be an incoming student entering Kinder 1, Grade 1, Grade 7, Grade 11, or First-Year College (undergraduate level only).

Note: If the qualified sponsor retires while the student is already receiving the scholarship, the student may continue using the grant until completion of their current grade level or undergraduate degree, provided they continue to meet the scholarship’s academic retention requirements. Retired personnel may also apply for the BPSP for Retirees for eligible college programs at the Manila and Laguna campuses, subject to the program’s lifetime limit of three (3) scholarship slots.

Requirements:

Applicants for the Brother President Scholarship Program (BPSP) must meet the program’s eligibility requirements and submit the required documents during the application period.

Sponsor (Parent) Requirements

• Must be a married, permanent, and full-time Teaching and Academic Service Faculty (ASF) member or Administrative and Professional Service Personnel (APSP).
• Must have joined De La Salle University (DLSU) in May 1987 or later.
• Must have completed at least three (3) years of continuous active service at DLSU.

Student Requirements

• Must be the legitimate or legally adopted child of a qualified sponsor.
• Must pass the entrance and admission requirements of an approved La Salle partner school.

Documentary Requirements

• Accomplished BPSP Application Form (completed through the DLSU Intranet).
• Official Letter of Acceptance from the participating DLSU or partner La Salle school.
• Photocopy of the student’s PSA Birth Certificate.
• Certificate of Good Moral Character from the student’s previous school.
• Sponsor’s Employment Certification showing the parent’s employment status and years of service at DLSU.
  • Faculty and ASF: Issued by the Office of the Provost.
  • APSP: Issued by the Community, Culture, and Human Resource Services Office (CHRSO).

Note: New applicants must submit the required documents to the Enrollment Services Hub, 2nd Floor, Henry Sy, Sr. Hall, starting March 1 of the application year, following the official BPSP guidelines.

Benefits:

The Brother President Scholarship Program (BPSP) provides tuition fee assistance to qualified children of eligible De La Salle University faculty and personnel. The amount of tuition support depends on the student’s educational level. However, the scholarship covers tuition fees only, while miscellaneous fees, laboratory fees, and other school-related expenses must be paid by the sponsor.

Note: Each qualified sponsor is entitled to a maximum of three (3) scholarship slots or educational levels under the BPSP. Sponsors may choose either one child for up to three educational levels or up to three children with one educational level each. The scholarship covers only the regular duration of the program, while any extension requires approval from the Office of Admissions and Scholarships (OAS).

Priority Courses:

The Brother President Scholarship Program (BPSP) does not have designated priority courses. 

The scholarship is open to students enrolled in any undergraduate degree program offered by eligible partner schools, provided they meet the admission requirements of their chosen institution.

However, the scholarship does not cover graduate-level programs or specialized medical doctorate degrees.

Partner School:

The Brother President Scholarship Program (BPSP) may be used in selected De La Salle educational institutions. Qualified scholars can enroll in eligible partner schools, depending on the academic level and the program’s guidelines.

• La Salle Green Hills
• De La Salle-Santiago Zobel School
• De La Salle-Araneta University
• De La Salle University-Dasmariñas
• De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde
• De La Salle University (Manila and Laguna Campuses)
• De La Salle University Integrated School
• De La Salle-Lipa
• De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI)

Application Deadline:

The Brother President Scholarship Program (BPSP) begins accepting applications on March 1 of each year. 

However, the program does NOT have a single fixed application deadline.

Instead, the deadline depends on the admission and enrollment schedule of the La Salle partner school where the student plans to enroll. 

Applicants are encouraged to submit their scholarship application at least one to two months before their chosen school’s enrollment period to allow enough time for processing.

Since the program offers only 15 new scholarship slots each academic year, it is highly recommended to apply as early as possible after the application period opens.

Note: Always check the official admission and enrollment schedule of your chosen La Salle partner school and submit all required documents before the school’s deadline.

How to Apply:

Step 1: Get Admitted to a Partner School
Apply to an eligible La Salle partner school and pass its admission requirements. Secure your Letter of Acceptance before applying for the scholarship.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form
The qualified parent (sponsor) must log in to the DLSU Intranet, download the BPSP Application Form, and fill it out completely.

Step 3: Prepare the Required Documents
Collect all the required documents, including the application form, Letter of Acceptance, PSA Birth Certificate, Certificate of Good Moral Character, and the sponsor’s Employment Certification.

Step 4: Submit Your Application
Submit the completed application and all required documents to the Enrollment Services Hub (ESH), 2nd Floor, Henry Sy, Sr. Hall, DLSU Manila, starting March 1 of the application year.

Step 5: Wait for the Evaluation
The Office of Admissions and Scholarships (OAS) will review all applications and rank qualified applicants based on the sponsor’s years of service at DLSU and the available scholarship slots.

Step 6: Check the Application Result
After the evaluation is complete, the OAS will officially inform applicants whether they have been awarded the scholarship.
