PHINMA National Scholarship Program 2026 Application Process

Qualifications

Before applying for the PHINMA National Scholarship Program, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements. The scholarship is open to students who have good academic standing, leadership potential, and a strong interest in helping their communities and the country.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be a Filipino citizen
  • Be accepted and enrolled in one of the following partner schools:
    • PNU Manila
    • UP Diliman
    • PUP–Sta. Mesa
    • PHINMA UPang
    • TUP Manila
  • Belong to a family with an annual gross income of not more than ₱300,000 (with supporting documents)
  • Have leadership potential and an interest in nation-building
  • Have no immediate family member who is currently a PHINMA National Scholarship scholar or a PNS alumnus/alumna

Note: Applicants must also meet the specific year level and course requirements of their chosen university.

Requirements

Before applying for the PHINMA National Scholarship Program, make sure you have all the required documents ready. Preparing these documents in advance can help make the application process smoother and faster.

Academic Documents

Submit the following:

  • Copy of your Registration or Enrollment Form
  • Official record of your most recent academic performance
  • For first-year applicants: Clear copy of your SHS Transcript of Records (TOR) or complete Grade 11 and Grade 12 report cards
  • For second-year applicants: Clear True Copy of Grades from your first year in college

Proof of Income

Submit any two of the following documents:

  • Copy of the breadwinner’s latest Income Tax Return (ITR)
  • Copy of the breadwinner’s pay slips from the past three months
  • Certificate of Non-Filing of ITR
  • Utility bills from the past three months

The PHINMA National Scholarship Program is open only to students enrolled in the program’s partner schools. To be eligible, you must be accepted and enrolled in one of the following universities:

  • Philippine Normal University Manila (PNU Manila)
  • University of the Philippines Diliman (UP Diliman)
  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sta. Mesa (PUP–Sta. Mesa)
  • PHINMA University of Pangasinan (PHINMA UPang)
  • Technological University of the Philippines Manila (TUP Manila)

Note: Make sure that your university, year level, and course are included in the scholarship’s list of eligible programs before applying.

Application Deadline

Be sure to complete and submit your PHINMA National Scholarship Program application before the deadline. Applications submitted after the deadline or with missing requirements may not be accepted.

Online Application Process

Step 1: Access the Application Form

Visit the application form, read the instructions and Privacy Clause carefully, then click “Next” to continue.

Step 2: Fill Out Your Personal Information

Provide your personal details, including your name, university, year level, course, contact information, address, and other basic information. Review your answers before proceeding.

Step 3: Complete Your Academic Background

Enter your educational background, including your school information, GWA, academic awards, leadership experiences, and skills or interests.

Step 4: Provide Your Family Background

Fill out the section about your family, household income, expenses, government assistance, loans, and other financial information.

Step 5: Answer the Short Essay Questions

Answer the required essay questions about your course, future goals, reasons for applying, and how you learned about the scholarship. Keep your answers honest and within the required character limit.

Step 6: Review and Submit Your Application

Double-check all the information you provided before submitting the application form. Make sure all details are complete and accurate.
