Below are the qualifications required to apply for the Chulalongkorn ASEAN and Non-ASEAN Scholarship.
- Age Requirement:
- Applicants should be no older than 40 years.
- Nationality and Professional Background:
- Open to international graduate students from ASEAN and Non-ASEAN countries.
- Priority is given to faculty members, researchers, and academic staff who intend to return to their home universities to work or teach after completing their studies at Chulalongkorn University.
- Note: Those who have already spent more than one semester in any program at Chulalongkorn University are not eligible.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree relevant to the field of study they are applying for.
- The application must include a degree certificate and an official academic transcript.
- Academic Achievement:
- For undergraduate studies, a minimum GPA of 2.75 is required.
- For graduate studies, a minimum GPA of 3.25 is required.
- English Language Proficiency:
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, with a minimum TOEFL score of 500 or an IELTS score of 5.0.
- Health Status
- Candidates must be in good health.
Benefits:
The Chulalongkorn ASEAN and Non-ASEAN Scholarship offers the following benefits to its recipients:
- Travel Expenses:
- Coverage for an economy class, round-trip ticket. The airfare is reimbursed based on the following maximum limits for each leg of the trip:
- Students from ASEAN countries: Up to 8,500 Baht per leg.
- Students from other Asian countries: Up to 12,000 Baht per leg.
- Students from Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Africa: Up to 20,000 Baht per leg.
- Students from North and South America: Up to 30,000 Baht per leg.
- Coverage for an economy class, round-trip ticket. The airfare is reimbursed based on the following maximum limits for each leg of the trip:
- Tuition Fees
- Coverage includes tuition fees for the university. Note that faculty/special program fees and summer session fees are excluded. Students need to make advanced arrangements with the Faculty/Program for these additional costs.
- Monthly Stipend and Accommodation
- Recipients will receive a monthly stipend and accommodation allowance totaling 16,000 Baht.

Term of the Scholarships:
- Two-year Master’s degree scholarship.
- Three-year Doctoral degree scholarship.
The Scholarship Conditions:
Recipients must adhere to the following conditions:
- The scholarship duration cannot be extended beyond the granted period.
- Once awarded, recipients cannot defer their scholarship acceptance.
- Recipients cannot work in Thailand while on the scholarship.

- All application documents, once screened by the Faculty/Program, must be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs.
- Each Faculty/Program has its own specific application deadline and selection schedule. Therefore, applicants must ensure their documents meet these deadlines.

- Second Semester of the 2023 Academic Year:
- Deadline: No later than November 13, 2023.
- First Semester of the 2024 Academic Year:
- Deadline: No later than May 13, 2024.
