Qualifications:

The Charity First Foundation Scholarship supports deserving students who have strong academic performance and financial needs. Applicants must meet the following qualifications to be considered for the scholarship:

Residency:

  •  Must be a resident of Metro Manila.

Year Level: 

  • Must be a currently enrolled 1st-year or 2nd-year college student at a partner university.

Academic Requirement: 

  • have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 85%.

Financial Need:

  •  Must be classified as an indigent student or come from a financially challenged background.

Scholarship Status: 

  • Must not be receiving any other scholarship grant.

Program Commitment:

  • Must be willing to attend the Monthly Life Skills Motivational Seminar as part of the scholarship program’s activities.

Requirements:

To apply for the Charity First Foundation Scholarship, you need to prepare and submit all the required documents below. Make sure that your documents are complete and accurate to avoid delays in your application.

1. Scholarship Application Form

  • Complete the Scholarship Application Form through the Charity First online portal.

2. Academic Records

  • Copy of your latest grades.

3. Proof of Financial Need (Submit one of the following:)

  • Photocopy of your parents’ latest Income Tax Return (ITR), or
  • Certificate of Indigency.

4. Proof of Residence

  • Home sketch showing the route from your school to your home.
  • Photos of the interior and exterior of your house.

5. Utility Bills

  • Latest water bill.
  • Latest electric bill.
  • Latest internet bill (if available).

6. Birth Certificate

  • Photocopy of your PSA-issued Birth Certificate.

7. Autobiography
Write a short autobiography that includes:

  • Personal life experiences
  • Dreams and goals
  • Challenges or crises you have faced
  • Beliefs or values
  • Future plans
  • Talents
  • Strengths and weaknesses

8. Medical Records

  • Copy of your medical or X-ray results.

9. Additional Documents (If Applicable)

  • DSWD Social Case Study Report.
  • 4Ps ID.

Priority Courses:

The Charity First Foundation Scholarship DOES NOT HAVE AN OFFICIAL LIST OF PRIORITY COURSES. However, past scholars have taken different degree programs, including the following:

  • Education
  • Accountancy
  • Engineering
  • Nursing
  • Social Work
  • Banking and Finance
  • Vocational and Technological Courses

This means students enrolled in these programs may be eligible, but the scholarship is not limited to these courses.

Partner School:

Charity First Foundation Scholarship is available to students enrolled in its partner schools. If you are studying at one of the universities below and meet the scholarship requirements, you may apply for the program.

  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines
  • Philippine Normal University
  • Technological University of the Philippines
  • Universidad de Manila
  • Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina
  • Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa
  • City of Malabon University

Application Deadline:

If you plan to apply for the Charity First Foundation Scholarship, be sure to submit your application before the deadline. Late or incomplete applications may not be accepted.

How to Apply:

Applying for the Charity First Foundation Scholarship is simple. Just follow these steps to complete your application.

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

Note: Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Step 2: Submit Your Application

  • The Charity First Foundation will review and evaluate all submitted applications.

About Charity First Foundation Scholarship:

The Charity First Foundation Scholarship was launched in 2002 through the “From the Streets to the Campus” program. The scholarship was created to help financially disadvantaged students continue their college education. Through the Charity First Foundation Scholarship, deserving students receive financial support and opportunities to build a better future through education.

Over the years, the Charity First Foundation Scholarship has expanded its reach by partnering with different universities and the DSWD Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) to support more deserving students. Since it began, the program has grown from 40 scholars to 330 active scholars and has helped produce 654 graduates in different fields.

Today, the Charity First Foundation Scholarship continues to help students achieve their academic goals while preparing them for a successful future.
