Qualifications:

  • Be a high school graduate or a graduating Senior High School student.
  • Be 25 years old or younger at the time of the examination and must not have earned any college units.
  • If a graduating student, have graduated with honors, as duly certified by the school head or principal.
  • If a high school graduate under the old curriculum, have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 80%.
  • If a graduating Senior High School student, have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 80% or its equivalent based on the last three (3) immediately preceding semesters, regardless of track.
  • Be of good moral character, as certified by the school head or principal.
  • Have a parent, guardian, or the applicant physically residing in the municipality within the region where the scholarship slot is allotted for at least six (6) months.

Requirements:

  • Completed BFAR FILG Scholarship Program Application Form (Annex 2), duly accomplished and signed.
  • Original or Certified True Copy of your Birth Certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) or your Local Civil Registrar.
  • Certified True Copy of your Report Card (Form 137 or Form 138) showing a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 80% based on the last three (3) semesters of Senior High School.
  • Certification from the School Head or Principal stating that you are a graduate or graduating student with honors.
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character issued by your school registrar or school head.
  • Two (2) recent 2×2 colored ID photos with a white background, taken within the last three (3) months before your application. (Photos taken using a mobile phone may also be accepted.)
  • Barangay Residence Certificate to verify your place of residence.

Benefits:

The BFAR FILG Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to help scholars complete their Bachelor of Science in Fisheries degree. Aside from covering school expenses, the program also offers allowances to support students throughout their studies.

Priority Courses:

The BFAR FILG Scholarship Program supports students who want to earn a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries (BS Fisheries) degree. This is the only course covered under the scholarship.

Partner School:

The BFAR FILG Scholarship Program does not have a fixed list of partner schools. Instead, applicants must enroll in a recognized college or university in the Philippines that offers the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries (BS Fisheries) program.
