Qualifications

To qualify for the CHED Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES), you must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizenship: You must be a Filipino citizen.
  • Enrollment Status: You must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at a State University or College (SUC), Local University or College (LUC), or a Private Higher Education Institution (HEI) recognized by CHED.
  • Program Duration: Your program should not exceed the standard duration of four to five years, plus a one-year grace period.
  • Priority Beneficiaries:
  • For New Applicants:
    • Students from households included in Listahanan 2.0, ranked by estimated per capita household income.
    • Students not in Listahanan 2.0, ranked by estimated per capita household income based on submitted proof, as determined by the UniFAST Board.
  • For Continuing Beneficiaries:
    • Continuing Expanded Student’s Grant-In-Aid Program for Poverty Alleviation (ESGP-PA) scholars in SUCs effective Academic Year 2018-2019.

  • Must not have a previous undergraduate degree.
  • Programs must be included in the CHED Registry.

Requirements

To apply for the scholarship program, make sure you have the following documents:

General Documents:

  • Certificate of Registration (COR) or Enrollment (COE): Proof of current enrollment.
  • PWD ID Photocopy: Required for applicants with disabilities.

For New Applicants:

  • Enrollment List: Provide a certified copy or digital list of enrolled students, including your Certificate of Registration/Enrollment (CORS/COEs), to confirm enrollment and fees charged.
  • PWD Enrollment List: If applicable, submit a certified list of enrolled PWD students with a copy of the PWD ID from the local PWD Affairs Office.
  • Certificate of Residency: Attach a certified Certificate of Residency from your Barangay Captain, or use a valid government ID showing your name and residence.
  • Proof of Income: If not in Listahanan 2.0, submit documents like pay slips, contracts, or a case study by a Social Welfare Officer to verify household income.

For Continuing Beneficiaries:

  • Grantee List: Provide a certified list or digital record of enrolled grantees with proof of orientation and fees for validation and billing.
  • Enrollment Proof for Returning Students: For those who took a leave of absence, submit proof of current enrollment and a document confirming your grantee status.

For TES 3B Reimbursement:

  • Letter of Availment: Address this to the CHED Regional Office, detailing expenses and attaching receipts for costs like PRC fees, notarial services, review center fees, insurance, and other required documents.
