Payment Methods

For Payment of Financial Benefits:
Modes of Payment:
- Mode 1: CHED Regional Offices (CHEDROs) release financial benefits directly to beneficiaries through checks or authorized banks.
- Mode 2: CHEDROs transfer financial benefits to beneficiaries through State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).

- Copy of Notice of Award (NOA) (Annex A)
- Copy of Certificate of Enrollment (COE) or Certificate of Registration (COR)
- Certified True Copy of Grades from the previous term issued by the school
- Copy of valid school ID
- Copy of ATM card (if applicable)

- Billing Statement from SUC
- Memorandum of Agreement between CHEDRO and SUC
2. Thesis/Dissertation Allowance
- Hardbound copy of Thesis/Dissertation with signed approval sheet or certification from SUC confirming the completion of the study. Submit to the CHED Central Office through CHEDRO.
3. On-the-Job Training (OJT) Allowance
- Copy of Narrative Report
- Copy of Grades. Submit to the CHED Central Office through CHEDRO.
4. Attendance to Local Conference/Fora
- Invitation or brochure providing details of the conference/seminar attended
- Letter of endorsement/recommendation from the Dean or Head of the institution
- Proof of acceptance
- Certificate of appearance or participation

Selection Criteria
To select beneficiaries for the CHED SIDA-SGP, the following criteria are used, with the percentage distribution for ranking as shown:

Scholarship grants are awarded based on the ranking results and regional slot allocations. ALS and PEPT passers have a standard score of 80 points.
Additional Points:
- Applicants from special groups, such as Underprivileged and Homeless Citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Solo Parents and/or their Dependents, Senior Citizens, and Indigenous Peoples, receive an additional 5 points if they meet all other requirements.

Conditions of the Scholarship Program
To maintain eligibility for the scholarship, beneficiaries must meet the following requirements:
- Acceptance: Sign and accept the Notice of Award (NOA).
- Enrollment: Enroll only in the designated priority programs at the approved State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) as specified in the NOA.
- Full Course Load: Register for a full course load as required by the curriculum of the selected study program.
- Academic Performance: Successfully pass all enrolled courses to remain eligible for the scholarship.
- Grade Point Average (GPA): Maintain a minimum General Weighted Average (GWA) of 2.5 for undergraduate programs or 2.0 for graduate programs.
- Scholarship Service Contract: Sign and comply with the Scholarship Service Contract (SSC) as stipulated by the scholarship program.
- Transfer and Program Changes: Transfer only to authorized SUCs or change programs to priority fields with written approval from CHEDRO.
- Program Completion: Complete the degree program within the prescribed duration. A one-semester extension without stipend may be granted for valid reasons.
- Other Financial Assistance: Utilize only one government-funded financial assistance program at a time. Additional assistance from other government entities is allowed only if there is no duplication of benefits, unless otherwise specified by law.
Non-compliance with these conditions may result in the termination of financial benefits. If terminated, a replacement may be selected based on the “Dependent” criteria under CMO No. 30 Series of 2016 from the approved rank list of CHEDRO.
Return Service Requirement:
A return service of one year per year of scholarship within the Philippines is required, with a focus on the Philippine Sugarcane Industry. Failure to fulfill this requirement will result in the obligation to refund CHEDRO for the years not served.
