Qualifications

To qualify for the CHED ACEF-GIAHEP scholarship, applicants must meet certain criteria aimed at supporting students in agriculture and related fields.

  1. Filipino Citizenship:
    • Must be a Filipino citizen.
  2. Educational Status:
    • Must be a graduating Senior High School (SHS) student, an SHS graduate, or have completed relevant college academic units for the specified degree programs.
  3. Enrollment:
    • Must be enrolling or currently enrolled in a recognized program at a Philippine Higher Education Institution (PHIES) or an authorized program at a State University and College (SUCS) or Local University and College (LUCS) in fields related to agriculture, forestry, fisheries, veterinary medicine, or similar agricultural education programs.
  4. Income Level:
    • The combined annual gross income of the parents or guardian should not exceed Php 400,000.
  5. Family Background:
    • Preferably a dependent of registered farmers or fisherfolks listed in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) or other similar registries.
  6. Existing Financial Assistance:
    • Must not be receiving support from any other government-funded student financial assistance program.
  7. Criminal Record:
    • Must not have been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude.

Requirements

To apply successfully for the CHED ACEF-GIAHEP Scholarship program, the following documents are required.

Certified True Copy of Birth Certificate:

  • Issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Academic Requirement:

  • For Senior High School Graduates:
    • Form 138 (Report Card). (Can be Obtain from the school you graduate)
  • For Graduating Senior High School Students:
    • Duly certified true copies of grades for Grade 11 and the 1st semester of Grade 12. (Can be Obtain from the school you are currently enrolled. please ask your adviser about it so that they can help you as well.)
  • For Applicants with College Units: Duly certified copy of grades for the latest semester/term attended. (Can be Obtain from the school you are enrolled in. Please ask for assistance from your adviser so that they can help you with the requirements.)

Proof of Income of Parents/Guardian (Submit ANY of the following):

  • Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) if employed. (Can be Obtain from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). Office)
  • Certificate of Tax Exemption from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). (Can be Obtain from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). Office)
  • Certificate of No Income from the BIR. (Can be Obtain from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). Office)
  • Certificate/Case Study Report from the City/Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (C/MSWD). (If applicable)

Proof of Membership in Special Group(s) (if applicable):

  • Evidence that the student applicant belongs to special groups such as Solo Parents, Indigenous Peoples (IP), Persons with Disabilities (PWD), etc.

Responsibilities of a Scholar

Grantees need to:

  • Pass Admission Tests: Complete the admission tests for your Higher Education Institution (HEI).
  • Enroll in Recognized Programs: Register in CHED-approved programs at Private HEIs or SUCs/LUCs with a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC).
  • Maintain Good Grades: Keep a General Weighted Average (GWA) at or above the passing mark.
  • Take a Full Course Load: Enroll in the standard number of units or subjects each term as set by your HEI.
  • Transfer or Shift Programs: Transfer to other HEIs or change programs only with written permission from CHEDRO.
  • Limit Other Assistance: Do not receive other national government scholarships, except for the Free Higher Education in SUCs and LUCs under RA No. 10931.
