The DOST S&T Undergraduate Scholarships 2027 can help students pursue their college education in science and technology fields.

Qualifications:

Before applying for the DOST S&T Undergraduate Scholarships, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements below.

Citizenship

Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen.

Family Income

Applicants must provide accurate information about their household income, financial contributions, agricultural land, and vehicles. Low income should not be presented as a universal eligibility requirement because the undergraduate scholarship includes both the Merit and RA 7687 Scholarship Programs.

Educational Background

For Graduating Grade 12 Students (SY 2026–2027):

STEM Strand: All STEM students may apply.
Non-STEM Strand: Must belong to the top 5% of the graduating class.

For Grade 12 Graduates Who Have Not Yet Enrolled in College:

STEM Strand: All STEM graduates may apply.
Non-STEM Strand: Must belong to the top 5% of the graduating class.

Residency

Must have lived in the municipality for at least four (4) years.
Must provide a barangay certification as proof of residency.

Character and Health

Must be of good moral character.
Must be in good health.

College Enrollment Status

Must not have earned any college or vocational units.

DOST-SEI Scholarship Status

You may apply if you:

Have never applied for a DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship;
Previously applied but did not qualify; or
Previously qualified but did not accept or avail of the scholarship award.

Requirements:

To apply for the DOST S&T Undergraduate Scholarships, you need to prepare and submit several important documents. These requirements help verify your eligibility and personal background.

Failure to complete the forms properly may result in disqualification. Follow these instructions:

Print each form on A4-size bond paper.
Have each form properly accomplished and fully signed by the authorized signatory.
If an alternative document is submitted, ensure that it contains all information required in the prescribed form.
Scan or photograph each accomplished form.
Save each file using the naming convention (Surname-Form __).
Upload each document to its corresponding field.
Use Preview to ensure that the uploaded file is correct, complete, and viewable.

Recent passport-size photo (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm or 1.8 in x 1.4 in)
- The applicant’s face must occupy approximately 80% of the picture. The photograph must be colored and have a white background.
- A handwritten name tag must be positioned approximately one inch below the chin and contain the applicant’s complete name and signature over the printed name.
- The picture must have been taken within the last three months. Filters, heavy makeup, digital enhancements, and alterations are not allowed.
Birth Certificate
- Submit a readable copy issued by the PSA or Municipal Registry Office. A birth certificate issued by another country must be accompanied by a Certificate of Re-acquisition or Retention of Philippine Citizenship.

Submit any one of the following:

2024 Income Tax Return (ITR)
BIR Form 1701
Certificate of Employment with Compensation
Employment Contract (for OFWs)
BIR Certificate of Exemption from Filing of ITR
Certificate of Indigency
Proof of Pension (if pensioner)

The acceptable proof of income depends on the class of worker of each parent, spouse, or legal guardian. If several options are provided for a particular class of worker, submit one valid option for each person whose income information is required.

The document must be clear and signed, and the annual gross income must be indicated. Follow the proof-of-income options displayed in the 2027 E-Application System.

Note: Transportation allowance covers one round-trip economy fare per academic year from the student’s home province to the school location and back. Reimbursement is given at the start and end of the academic year.
